The Weidner Financial Group offers a multitude of annuity investment opportunities for conservative and aggressive investors.  Below is a sampling of a few of the most popular annuity options available today.

INDEXED ANNUITIES - The Indexed Annuity is a tax-deferred fixed annuity with interest linked to stock market growth. It provides tax-deferred accumulation for long-term retirement planning and is an excellent vehicle for someone who might otherwise be adverse to investing in the stock market. This is a relatively new concept where you can earn interest tied to the S&P 500 but where your principal and interest are fully protected against stock market declines.

VARIABLE ANNUITIES - Variable Annuities offer tax-deferred investing combined with stock market performance.  They combine the expertise of world-class money managers into carefully constructed investment strategies, giving you simplicity and diversification.  These annuities have the potential to offer more growth than fixed annuities, depending upon the performance of selected investment options.  They carry more risk than a Fixed Annuity or an Indexed Annuity, and because of the growth potential of the today's stock market, they have become one of the most popular annuity options in the marketplace today.  These annuities do offer conservative investment options as well.

A Variable annuity is an insurance contract that is subject to regulation understate insurance and securities laws.  Although variable annuities offer investment features similar in many respects to mutual funds, a typical variable annuity offers three basic features not commonly found in mutual funds:

1.) Tax-deferred treatment of earnings; 2.) a death benefit; and 3.) annuity payout options that can provide guaranteed income for life.  A customer's premium payments to purchase to purchase a variable annuity are allocated to underlying investment portfolio, often termed subaccounts.  The variable annuity contract may also include a guaranteed fixed interest subaccount that is part of the general account of the insurer.  The general account is composed of the assets of if the insurance company issuing the contract.   The value of the underlying subaccounts that are not guaranteed will fluctuate in reponse to market changes and other factors.

FIXED ANNUITIES - Fixed Annuities offer tax-deferred investing with guarantees of principal.  The client is guaranteed a certain investment return for all or a portion of the annuity contract period.  This option is very attractive for conservative investors who want guarantees on their principal investment.
